Reviews of Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot

I had a wonderful stay at this luxurious hotel. The location was perfect, as it was close to everything in downtown. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, as they went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. The room was comfortable and clean, and the amenities provided, such as the ironing facilities, mini-bar, and flat-screen TV, enhanced my stay even more. The dining experience was also delightful, with a restaurant and bar area offering delicious food and drinks. The staff seemed genuinely interested in providing top-notch service, which made me feel valued and appreciated.
Although I had a fantastic stay overall, there were a couple of minor inconveniences. The entrance and parking were a bit confusing, as the website did not clearly mention the different address for entry. Additionally, the parking fee of $27 was quite steep, and the limited availability of metered parking made it difficult to sleep in or arrive late. However, despite these small drawbacks, this hotel is still highly recommended for families.

It was loud, you bould here doors shutting through out the night. Walls seemed very thin and not very insulate for sound

We celebrated our 10th Anniversary and were looking for a place to stay for the night downtown. To start our anniversary we went skating at The Depot rink connected to the hotel, which was very romantic and a great indoor arena with views of the city. The historic factor of the depot and hotel as the prior train depot of Minneapolis was very charming. I remember bringing my grandparents there for a trip to Oregon years ago. As we were going back to our room from skating, one of the staff was bringing us a complimentary bottle of champagne for our anniversary. We had also been upgraded to the Milwaukee Suite in the historic part of the hotel. The room was beautiful and very luxurious. High ceilings, views of the skyline and ice rink. Everything you would want in a suite. We are used to nice 4-5 star accommodations and this hotel made our anniversary stay very special. We are 45-50yr old couple.

The hotel had a beautiful decor in both the public spaces and the rooms. The room sizes were large and very nice. The hotel was conveniently located in a key location.
The front desk staff was unresponsive to requests for extra pillows and to speak to the manager. The breakfast buffet was chaotic and poorly managed, with empty food stations and unapologetic staff.

I recently stayed at Renaissance Hotel, The Depot in Minneapolis for my birthday. The staff exceeded my expectations by giving us complimentary passes to the water park when the ice rink was booked for a private party. They even surprised me with a birthday card and cake! The hotel itself is beautiful, with a historical railroad motif. The rooms are spacious, the breakfast is great, and the location is perfect - close to downtown and a short walk from US Bank.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

Had a nice city trip, the hotel was comfortable with friendly staff. The rooms were clean and had small refrigerators as well as coffee/tea makers. My favorite feature was the ability to log into my Netflix account on the TV. I also appreciated the Bluetooth capability on the alarm clock.
The noise level was unpleasant, making it difficult to sleep. The sirens and cars were loud enough to sound like they were right outside our room.

The tram station in the city centre and the water park are also nearby, making it convenient to explore the city. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, with a newly renovated bathroom. The attention to detail is impressive, as the room had a drawer for my clothes and had been recently refurbished with a nice chic decorative style.
